We are always looking for a new way to attract more clients and customers, to get more followers and brand advocates. There are a lot of techniques for that but this is something you can do on a daily basis. It requires some time to get big results but it’s very easy and you can do it while taking a bus drive or sitting in a park.

Choose your network

This is what you should do first. Choose a social network (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram) that will suite your cause. If you want more clients – LinkedIn is the right choice, for more brand awareness – pick any network. If you are a designer – Dribbble or Behance may be the best choice for you.

Focus on the right audience

After choosing the network, search for your desired audience. Every return action from an engaged user will count but in a different way.

What does this mean? It’s not the same if somebody likes your photo for example of starts following you. What you need is to get the most valuable return for the invested time so take your time when searching and filtering your audience.

Trigger the action 

This is what it’s all about. You picked a network, narrowed your audience and the next thing you should do is to trigger the action.

Action can be:

– Liking someone’s post
– Following someone or
– Leaving a comment

This concept is also well known on LinkedIn, but in a different way. On LinkedIn you just need to view someone’s profile (because there is an option to see who is viewing your profile) and the action is triggered, so the concept is the same but the call to action is different.

 

Wait for reaction

Every action has a reaction so the first thing that will happen after that triggered action is that the person on the other side will see it and then you are fighting for a chance to get some like, share or follower, the reaction we talked about.

Important: There is one thing you should know. It’s really important to have something to give back to those users. If you like a post of a designer or photographer, be sure to have at least a couple of latest posts about the same topic.

 

How to choose the right action?

Bare in mind that there is no wrong action when it comes to these techniques. You can undo both like and a follow. There are a lot of applications that can help you with this like Unfollowers or Crowdfire for Android and for iOS Find Unfollowers. These applications even lets you discover who unfollowed you or who doesn’t follow you back. Check them out.
