[ Meet the Petit Bateau]
Petit Bateau isn't just another clothing brand. It's a name woven into childhood memories across generations, a brand that parents grew up with and later chose again for their own children.
Founded in 1893 in Troyes, France, Petit Bateau built its reputation on timeless essentials that combine comfort, durability, and understated elegance. From inventing the first modern cotton briefs to becoming globally recognized for its iconic sailor stripes, the brand has remained remarkably consistent in what it represents: lasting quality.
For over a century, Petit Bateau has symbolized French elegance that lasts.
But Petit Bateau’s legacy goes beyond clothing.
For many families, the brand carries an emotional connection. It represents the feeling of childhood simplicity, trusted craftsmanship, and pieces designed to be worn, loved, and passed down.
While fashion trends constantly evolve, Petit Bateau has always stood apart by staying true to its identity.
Today, the brand is present worldwide — and through Creative Brackets, its Serbian branch now carries that heritage into the digital era.
[ From global legacy to local digital storefront ]
When the brand decided to expand its e-commerce presence, the stakes were high.
How do you take a heritage brand that families trust and love and translate that feeling into a digital store?
Expectations were naturally high.
When Petit Bateau opened its Serbian branch, petit-bateau.rs, the mission wasn’t just to launch another e-commerce website. It was about carrying the prestige of a global heritage brand into a new local market.
Without losing any of the elegance, trust, or playfulness that families everywhere associate with Petit Bateau.
Our task was twofold:
- To create a site that feels modern and effortless, while still preserving the warmth and authenticity of Petit Bateau's identity.
- To design an experience that works for busy parents shopping for kids, as well as adults exploring the brand's extended collections.
The challenge also had several layers.
First, the Serbian website had to mirror the global brand identity in every detail while still adapting to local customers' needs. Parents shopping online needed a store that felt welcoming, intuitive, and easy to navigate. A family-friendly experience that saved time and simplified choices.
At the same time, the store needed to keep pace with the rhythm of modern retail.
Seasonal collections, promotions, and product updates had to roll out smoothly and on time, requiring a system built for growth and flexibility.
Finally, there was security. Petit Bateau’s headquarters set strict digital standards for the Serbian franchise.
[ Crafting a digital experience true to the brand ]
From day one, our role at Creative Brackets was clear: to design and develop a website that felt Petit Bateau unmistakably, while also giving the franchise a powerful digital foundation for growth.
We began with the visual identity. Every pixel had to align with Petit Bateau’s global aesthetic: clean layouts, generous white space, elegant typography, and playful touches that capture the spirit of childhood. The design was meant to feel timeless and trustworthy, just like the clothes themselves.
Next came the user experience.
Shopping for kids’ clothing needs to be quick and stress-free, especially for busy parents. We created an intuitive navigation system with smart filters for age and size, and product pages that highlight the garments with large imagery and clear, uncluttered details.
{ ReadyCMS as the technical backbone }
Behind the polished design sits ReadyCMS, the system that keeps Petit Bateau Serbia running smoothly day after day.
One of the biggest advantages is the speed of catalog management. With bulk imports, entire collections can be refreshed in minutes, ensuring seasonal launches happen right on schedule and customers always see the latest arrivals as soon as they drop.
Equally important is stock synchronization. With two physical stores, a warehouse, and a webshop, ReadyCMS ensures consistent inventory levels across all channels. What a customer sees online reflects what’s truly available in-store, reducing errors and building trust in the shopping experience.
The platform also connects seamlessly with the 3rd party tools that the franchise relies on every day:
- Courier integrations make delivery logistics faster and more transparent while reducing employees' workload.
- Integrated accounting and inventory systems keep finances and stock levels perfectly aligned for smooth day-to-day operations.
Finally, the built-in features (such as Discounts and coupon codes) allow the Serbian team to easily launch discounts and promotions. Campaigns respect the brand’s global standards but are flexible enough to adapt to local market demands, giving the team both control and agility.

[ Impact ] Growth, simplified
The results of adopting ReadyCMS became visible quickly. Instead of struggling with manual updates or disconnected systems, the Petit Bateau team gained a platform that kept pace with their daily operations. Seasonal collections could be launched on time, with entire catalogs updated in bulk, giving customers immediate access to the latest arrivals.
Discounts and promotional campaigns became easier to run, helping the brand stay competitive while still maintaining the premium image Petit Bateau is known for.
With stock synchronized between the warehouse, the two physical stores, and the online shop, customers experienced a smoother, more reliable shopping journey, whether they walked into a boutique or placed an order online.
Most importantly, ReadyCMS allowed Petit Bateau to focus less on technical hurdles and more on growing the brand. What once felt like operational challenges became opportunities to move faster, sell smarter, and deliver an experience that matches Petit Bateau's global reputation.
{ Security standard }
”Because security was non-negotiable, Petit Bateau's global headquarters mandated that both the website and the ReadyCMS platform undergo a thorough third-party audit. Through close collaboration between our team, the Serbian franchise, and ReadyCMS engineers, we passed every requirement, ensuring the platform is as secure as it is beautiful.”

[ The solution in action ]
The launch of the Petit Bateau Serbia website brought everything together.
The local branch's digital space felt authentic to the brand’s heritage yet was carefully tailored for Serbian customers. The design captured Petit Bateau’s elegance and playfulness while offering a simple, intuitive shopping experience for families.
The website also became a canvas for visual storytelling. Each collection flows naturally into the brand narrative, so browsing feels less like navigating a catalog and more like stepping into Petit Bateau’s world.
Seasonal campaigns and new collections now roll out effortlessly. With ReadyCMS powering the backend, the team can launch entire product ranges on time, keeping pace with the fast-moving fashion cycle.
Equally important, the platform makes life easier for the local team. Managing campaigns, updating products, and setting up discounts are no longer technical challenges but part of their everyday workflow.
Behind the scenes, ReadyCMS synchronizes stock across the webshop, warehouse, and both physical stores. Customers can now trust that what they see online is exactly what’s available. A small detail that makes a big difference in building loyalty.
The result is a digital store that not only works but truly feels like Petit Bateau.
