In the heart of Serbia’s countryside, surrounded by quince and plum orchards, stands MIKO Distillery, a family-run brand where every bottle of rakija begins its story as fruit on their own trees.
What started with a first parcel in Župa Aleksandrovačka has grown into a carefully shaped estate built on patience, family values, and respect for the land. Today, MIKO brings together orchards, water, production, and energy in one place, creating a rare connection between nature, craft, and technology.
Their fruit is not treated as a raw material, but as the foundation of everything they do. Quince and plum are grown under carefully maintained conditions, harvested at the right moment, and processed with full control over every step, from orchard to bottle. This allows MIKO to preserve the fruit's freshness, aroma, and natural character without artificial additives or unnecessary shortcuts.
That is why their rakija feels both traditional and contemporary. It carries the patience of old recipes, the precision of modern distillation, and a clear commitment to sustainability. From solar energy and careful water use to composting and responsible orchard management, MIKO’s production philosophy reflects a simple belief: the best products come from working with nature, not against it.
Their philosophy is simple: keep things pure. There are no artificial additives or shortcuts, just honest craft shaped by nature and time.
That same mindset shaped how we approached our collaboration. When MIKO reached out to us, their website was already online, but the digital experience didn’t yet capture the quiet strength of their brand. And they weren’t looking to rebuild everything. They wanted to keep the essence and make it work better.
[ A quiet partnership, not a restart ]
We stepped in where another team left off. Our goal wasn’t to erase the previous work, but to continue it with care.
Together with MIKO, we patiently examined the site. The same way they examine their orchards: with attention to detail and a plan for steady growth.
We started by learning the rhythm of their existing system: what worked, what caused friction, and where the storytelling could breathe more. From there, we focused on improvements that matter most to visitors: smoother navigation, clearer product presentation, and space for new content that would evolve with future harvests.
{ Designing within what already exists }
Rather than chase trends, we leaned on consistency and usability.
We adjusted the layouts for product pages so the bottle and label photography could take center stage. We refined spacing and typography to let imagery and storytelling coexist naturally. Every update was small on its own, but together, they formed a more cohesive, confident experience. Much like MIKO’s philosophy of balance between tradition and modernity.
{ Support that grows with the brand }
Our collaboration didn’t end with a single update. MIKO’s website continues to evolve through ongoing design, development, and consultation support.
Sometimes, that means adding a new section for a seasonal edition, and sometimes, it’s a performance tweak or a layout refinement.
Each change moves the website a little closer to what the brand already is: quietly premium, grounded, and honest.
[ A small but meaningful transformation ]
This wasn’t a grand relaunch. It was a process of respect: for the work that came before, for the craft behind the brand, and for the visitors who experience it online.
“A good website doesn’t always begin with a blank canvas,” we often say.
“Sometimes, the best work is in helping something good become even better.”
— Miloš Lukić, founder at [ Creative Brackets ]
That’s what happened here. A continuation, not a reinvention. And a partnership built on trust and steady growth.
