How it started
- 2014
We met at work
Milos was a team leader and Marko joined as a university intern, with Milos as his mentor.
- The lesson
The company we worked for closed
It did not end on good terms, and most of what we learned there came from mistakes. We wanted responsibility for our own careers and were convinced that parts of the business could be run differently and better.
- 2015
We founded Creative Brackets
We started the company in Gothenburg, Sweden, as equal partners.
- 2017
We opened the company in Belgrade
The Serbian company, Creative Brackets DOO, followed two years after the Swedish one.
- Today
Still building it together
We run the company jointly. Milos is responsible for design and strategy, Marko for development and technology.
50:50
Creative Brackets has been owned equally by the two of us from the first day. We share ownership, responsibility and decisions, and the trust behind that is what the company is built on.
Whatever happens, stay human first.
The company we want to build
Awareness
We know our strengths and look even harder at our flaws. There is always something to learn, from colleagues, clients and people who have walked this path before us.
Transparency
Honesty comes first, even when it is not the easy answer. Clients and colleagues know where things stand.
Everyone gets a chance
Marko started as an intern. We believe everyone deserves a fair chance to prove themselves.
Fairness
We treat clients and the people who work here properly, and we take responsibility for what we promise.
The long run
Long-term relationships matter more than quick wins. We are building something that lasts.
Hear it from us
Milos tells how Creative Brackets started and what we learned along the way. The talk is in Serbian.

Hi everyone.
My name is Milos, that is Marko over there in front of the camera, and we are the founders of Creative Brackets.
Creative Brackets offers a wide range of services, such as design, mobile app development, web applications and marketing, and helps clients actually reach their business goals.
We call ourselves a full-service agency, but more on that a bit later.
Marko and I met only a year before founding the company, and we can say we are very lucky that we met at all.
I would say that we are two sides of the same coin.
That may also be because Marko is a developer and I am a designer.
We worked together at a company that ended its business very badly, but we learned a lot from it, mostly from mistakes.
We were very motivated to start our own company and to have control over, let's say, our own professional careers.
Simply put, we wanted to do some things differently and better.
We believed we could do it in a completely different way, a better one, with all the experience we had gathered.
The company was founded in 2015.
In Gothenburg, Sweden, and last year we expanded to Serbia, where we opened an office here in Belgrade.
From the very beginning, that whole road has taught us a lot, and I really hope it stays that way.
Not only in terms of business experience, but in completely different aspects too.
Marko and I have always been aware not only of our strengths, but of our flaws as well.
Not just mine and his, but also those of our colleagues, clients and so on.
So we have always been guided by the idea that we can always do better, that there is always something to learn and that, whatever happens, you should stay human first.
Now, as always, we put a lot of emphasis on transparency, and we think everyone should get a chance to prove themselves.
That personal philosophy has definitely carried over into the work and into our company culture, where, for example, we currently get 90% of our clients and 90% of our new projects through satisfied clients.
What I would single out is that we are very focused on goals, and every client matters a great deal to us, as does their business.
When I mentioned that we are a full-service agency, it means that, sometimes through cooperation with other developers, designers and companies, we provide a wide range of services, including some we may not have in-house.
We are very proud that we are always there for our clients and ready to accommodate them in every respect.
In fact, I would say that we are here as the solution.
We don't have much time. We thought a lot about what to talk about.
There is a great story about something that happened before the company existed, but let's say that if we could get you to think about just one thing when we leave here, it would be something that helped us a lot, and it comes down to one word: awareness.
Whether you stay designers or decide to try entrepreneurship, be aware, as I said, not only of your strengths but perhaps even more of your flaws.
Be aware that you can always learn something new from someone, that there may be people who have already walked in your footsteps, so learn from their mistakes and, of course, from their wins.
Read, listen, watch. Sometimes it is very important to realize that even the smallest details can get us out of the biggest problems.
And of course, above all, be fair to each other, because that matters most.
Thank you.
